Group seeks to up code work

Extra chairs were set out Monday, Aug. 14 during the Dublin City Council meeting as 35 were in attendance, many in support of a new group called Revitalize Dublin aimed at more active code enforcement within the city.

CASA is seeking more volunteers to advocate for the best interest of children in foster care in Erath and the surrounding areas.
Multiple agencies responded to a 15-acre grass fire Friday, Aug. 11 on County Road 385 near the Chicken House Flea Market. Erath County Fire, Lingleville VFD, Dublin VFD, Stephenville Fire Department and Harbin VFD all responded to the fire. Dublin VFD remained on scene for about six hours as the fire got into brush that was hard to extinguish. An exciting time is on the horizon for the Dublin Rodeo Heritage Museum and for the citizens of Dublin as a 20th anniversary celebration is planned Saturday, Sept. 2. Though the event is not until September, some deadlines for the event are quickly approaching.

July 24 There was a report of someone shooting off a firearm in the 800 block of Liberty. Officers spoke with the caller and made contact with several residences in the area. They advised they had not heard shots fired. There was a report of loud music in the 300 block of North Grafton.
