LISD School Board: Lingleville ISD proactive on policy

The Lingleville School Board approved updates to local policy and the student handbook during the regular meeting Jan. 22.The majority of changes were made so the district falls in line with state guidelines.

Dublin celebrates ‘Mr. 90’ Point

Dublin’s Dalton Kasel was treated to a special celebration Tuesday, Jan. 13 at the Doublin’ In as the City and Chamber of Commerce officially presented the rodeo champion with the declaration of Dalton Kasel Day. The Dublin City Council officially signed the declaration on Jan.

Garden club learns about tomotoes

The Dublin Garden Club held its monthly meeting Jan. 14 in the home of DJ Klutts. Sally Schlautman was co-hostess.The program was presented by DJ Klutts on one of our vegetable garden favorites, tomatoes.
Dublin 4-H was represented at the Fort Worth Stock Show last week, with contestants competing in the Equine IQ competition. Dublin 4-H was represented at the Fort Worth Stock Show last week, with contestants competing in the Equine IQ competition. These girls competed with 125 contestants from across Texas, testing their knowledge of horse breeds, anatomy, nutrition, health, and management.
Erath County AgriLife extension agent Andrea Brooks led a ‘Mommy and Me’ cooking class on having fun with food as kids and parents created banana butterflies and grape caterpillars. The classes are being held as part of the Dublin Public Library’s Mission to Mindfulness program. The next class is at the library, Thursday, Feb. 5 at 10 a.m.

Huckabay ISD IT director arrested

Matthew Thompson, technology director at Huckabay ISD, was arrested on multiple warrants regarding child sex crimes.
