Teacher finds ‘no place like home’ to retire

Reflecting back on a 29-year teaching career including eight school districts, Patrice Christian has officially retired from Dublin ISD where her educational journey began in 1983 as a DHS grad.“If anyone would have told me I would retire from Dublin ISD I wouldn’t have believed them!

June 3A close patrol request for a building in that had some suspicious activity behind it. A reporting person stated that there was a male subject on camera behind her business picking up a box by the compressor.A follow up was done at a hotel about an elderly couple that was staying there.

Slight sales tax increase seen in April due to Eclipse traffic

Dublin sales tax collections were up in April at 6.69%, compared to April 2023, according to the state sales tax report released by Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar.For the month of April, Dublin received $45,960.19, compared to $43,075.90 in April 2023.

Double N hosts last Play Day of the summer

Kids and adults showed off their horsemanship skills during Double N’s last family playday of the season Saturday, June 8. More photos of the fun will be uploaded to the Dublin Citizen Facebook page. 
State UIL Travis Spharler earned 6th Place State Medalist in UIL Technical Theater Design Set Design division 1A3A. As a freshman, he earned the award for redesigning the set for the hit broadway musical, Hadestown, which was a contest Dublin had never competed in previously.
