“It will offer a lot of services, but mainly it’s a place where people can come together,” owner of The Wellness Place, Charlotte Bennett said.
Filled with a sense of serenity, relaxation and wellness, Dublin’s new business is located in an entire wing of Blackjack Office Center, located at 126 E. Blackjack.
The business is described by owners and operators Charlotte Bennett and her daughter Mary Mullins as a gathering place for wellness.
“It’s a community gathering space to help people find their way back to wellness, a place designed to help people connect and care for their well-being through simple, accessible, whole-body practices,” Charlotte said. “People lose their health because they don’t have any connections in the community.”
So how does The Wellness Place work? The location is membership based with three different options available, ranging from $36 for just a walk-in single service up to $166 a month. Day passes are $66, for the core services.
Imagine scheduling a day with your friends where you can relax, be together and simply recharge, moving through the core services of an infrared sauna, the ionic foot detox, oxygen therapy, a smoothie bar, lymphatic studio and cold plunge.
If one is so inclined, they can also add on reflexology and massage therapy with a choice of two licensed massage therapists.
Natural supplements, and education about those supplements, are also available in house. Whole food smoothies are an added tasty benefit of The Wellness Place.
“We aren’t doing locked contracts. We don’t like them so why would we do that to anyone else?” Charlotte said.
In order to book appointments people can either go online to wellnessplacecommunity. com or call 808-635-5039.
Charlotte’s journey in Dublin started three years ago when Patty Hirst and Ike Wade who were clients of hers, told her about Karen Wright opening Blackjack Office Center.
She admits at first she was hesitant because she didn’t know anyone in Dublin, however, once she saw the building and received Karen’s reassurances of filling a Saturday each month for reflexology, she was all for it.
That one Saturday developed into two, and eventually led her into opening Hole in the Wall Apothecary Shoppe. She currently sees 40 people a month in Dublin and 40 people in Granbury for reflexology.
Although work officially started on The Wellneess place as a whole last year, it has been a concept for a long time.
“It was the right place, at the right time, in the right location with the right people,” she said.
Charlotte said she is hoping to be a destination for people out of town, as well as locals.
“I have so many interested people already,” she said. “I’m seeing people from Austin already booking for October.”
The Wellness Place is open Tuesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, to start with and will be officially opening Monday, Feb. 2 at 1 p.m. with a ribbon cutting and open house that everyone is invited to attend.
