This weekend is full of all kinds of fall fun as well as general events.

Here’s what you may not want to miss!

Friday, Oct. 3

Dublin’s PTO will host a Fall Festival for elementary and intermediate aged students from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Memorial Stadium located on Post Oak.

There will be more than 30 games and activities, jump houses and a mechanical bull, food trucks, vendors and photo opportunities.

Twenty-dollar wristbands are available or $1 tickets. Most booths or games are $1. Admission will be taken at the gate and costumes are highly encouraged.

During the event, there will also be an opportunity to support the Dublin FFA raising funds for the National FFA Convention trip to Indianapolis.

They will have pumpkin painting, $10 burger meal deals and fall flower arrangements for purchase. You do not have to purchase festival admission to purchase a meal.

In Lingleville, Friday night will be Cardinal Pride Night from 5-7:45 p.m. at the Lingleville Football Field.

The event will include tailgating, Fall Sports pep rally, Mr. Touchdown, a Powder Puff football game and a silent auction.

Tailgating setup begins at 4:30 p.m., tailgating opens at 5 p.m. with prizes for most spirited tailgate spot and best food. Tailgate judging will occur from 6-6:30 p.m.

Silent auction will open at 5 p.m. and closes at 7 p.m.

Those wanting tailgating spots can text CPN25 to 234-324-3332 by end of day Thursday, Oct. 2 to secure their spot.

Saturday, Oct. 4

Revitalize Dublin will host a project in need of volunteers on Saturday starting at 8 a.m. at 421 S. Norton Street.

A widow’s fence will be torn down and rebuilt, and everyone is welcome to help with the project.

Stephenville will be hosting its annual Electronics Recycling Collection event from 9 a.m. to noon at 1201 Glen Rose Road in Stephenville. The event is open to all Erath County and Stephenville residents.

Electronics accepted include digital cameras, batteries, small kitchen appliances, video tapes, computers, televisions, CRT monitors, laptops, toner and ink cartridges, cell and office phones, servers and racks, CDs and DVDs, smoke detector alarms, Christmas lights, flat screen monitors and printers, copiers and fax machines.

Interested in all things music? The Harry Bradberry Memorial Classic will take place from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at Cervetto Stadium. A variety of bands will be performing in preparation of area competition. Admission is $5 each or $3 for students. Dublin’s performances are at 4:15 p.m. and 8:45 p.m.

Harris’ Old West Pumpkin Patch is open Saturday, Oct. 4 for the first time this season from 8 a.m. til dark. The patch is located at 1129 CR 304 in Dublin.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids which includes wagon rides, games, concessions, photo opportunities and live music each weekend.

Myriad pumpkins are also available for purchase.

The patch is open every weekend in October.

Heartland Renaissance Festival Oktoberfest will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 14450 Hwy. 36 in Gustine.

The event is open for the Tournament of Realms – the Heartlands’ most thrilling combat tournament and reenactment event held during Oktoberfest celebration. The tournament is open to anyone with proper equipment that will be competing for prizes.

Competitor prices are $15 with four retinue members. General admission is $5 with admission free for first responders and veterans.

Historical based competition, food, beer and wine, games, shows and more are all part of the tournament.

Sunday, Oct. 5

Double N Cowboy Church will host its annual Buckles N’ Bibles Youth Rodeo on Sunday, Oct. 5.

Those attending the fun family event will get to take in the rodeo fun in the arena and can also enjoy concessions and a cake walk.

Sign-up will be at 12:30 p.m. with events starting at 2 p.m. (Events are $1 to enter.)

Awards wil be presented to the top 3 athletes in all events with trophy buckles presented to the all around top boy and girl. Age groups include: 6 and under, 7-12 and 13-18.

The church is located at 7202 E. State Hwy. 6.
