The United Daughters of the Confederacy Major George B. Erath Chapter 2679 honored several local Veterans during the 2021 Military Service Awards Ceremony on Nov. 14 at Stephenville Historical Park. Cross recipients were James Walter Babb (US Army) and Edward F. Knight (US Navy) while national defense honors recipients were Richard Dean Hill (US Air Force), Lon Lee Laquey (US Navy) and Norman Gayle Graham (US Army). Colors were posted by Sons of Confederate Veterans 2nd Texas Frontier Camp 1904 while medals were presented by UDC President Sheran Weible and Rita Trosper, Recorder of Military Service Awards. | submitted photo
