H.M. McIlroy, the census enumerator appointed by the Dublin ISD school board, reported there were 760 pupils in the school district for the year, compared to 843 the previous year.

Bruce P. Shoemaker announced the opening of his insurance office in the upstairs of the American Legion building. Shoemaker was the Dublin representative for the Aetna Insurance Company.
Foundations were bein laid for a new building for the Loyd Hines Motor Company with the A&P store expected to move to the existing building after a remodel.
