J.W. Hoskins and R.F. Campbell of the Dallas office of the H.C. Advertising Service, an incorporated organization handling outdoor advertising for national advertisers, set up an office in Dublin to handle local business.

The Dublin Donut Shop was under new management after it was purchased by Doyle and Al Hennessee.
Dublin High School student Martha Keller was selected as Queen at the Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show on March 7.
Southwestern Bell Telephone Company held a banquet in Fort Worth in honor of the 100th anniversary of Alexander Graham Bell’s birth. Dublin operators in attendance were: Lola Turnbow, Jessie Wood, Geraldine Baird, Annie Mae Minchew, Lucille Ellis and Edras Thomson.

C.D. Stoddard was named store manager for Brown Motor Company B.F. Goodrich Tire & Appliance Store in Stephenville. Prior to accepting the position at the store, Stoddard was a local area representative for Formost Dairies for 15 years. He and his wife, Lillie, had lived in their home near Dublin since 1953.
Fieda Harbin opened the Cut and Curl Beauty Shop at 360 N. Grafton.
Hundreds attended the Young Farmers Auction in Dublin.

Curtis Lewis was named Dublin’s Outstanding Police Officer of the Year at the Erath Law Enforcement Appreciation Banquet. The event was hosted by the Dublin and Stephenville Rotary clubs with about 150 in attendance.
