F.W. Smith, formerly of Frederick, Oklahoma, leased the Prim Building on Elm Street and was installing a bakery there.
The Dublin Farmers Marketing Association met and elected the following officers: President A.N. Whitten, Vice President J.D. Walker, Secretary T.V. Cleghorn and Treasurer W.I. O’Neal.

Feb. 21, 1947
The tap-dancing pupils of Mrs. Lynn Smith presented a program at the Grammar School auditorium. Admission for the performance was 10 cents for kids and 30 cents for adults with proceeds going to the Grammar School Seating Project.
Bruce F. Shoemaker awarded his candidacy for the position of Dublin Mayor.
Ballots were cast on Feb. 9 to determine the legalization of beer in Comanche County. The county voted to keep the county dry 3194 to 1198.

Feb. 17, 1972
Lt. Gov. Ben Barnes was stopping in Dublin on Feb. 23 as part of the Whistle Stop tour of Texas, reviving an old tradition of traveling by passenger train and getting off to campaign at stops. Stores were closing for his address and students were being excused from classes so they could attend. Also aboard the train coming to Dublin were Dallas Cowboys Bob Lilly, Walt Garrison and Dan Reeves.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest (Jim) Sikes sold their business, Flowers by Earlene, to Libby and Bessie Durham effective Feb. 10. The shop was to continue under that name.

Dublin High School sophomore Adam Moyer returned from the San Antonio Livestock Show with multiple awards, including a $6,000 scholarship for being the high point individual in the Holstein Show.
