Blanche Jones, Erath County School Superintendent for the common school districts, announced the dispersal of $5 per capita for students enrolled. Erath as a whole had a total of 3,555 students amounting to a total payment of $17,775 to be split amongst the schools.
The first annual All-Star Football Game was a reported success with the American Legion reporting more than in $500 in gate receipts. Dublin, who hosted the game on their field, emerged the winner 23-4.
Erath County farm families more than doubled their annual gross income from 1940 according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The 1941 annual income was reported at $5,380,000.

Rebecca Truesdale, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Truesdale of Dublin, was promoted to Private Pay Grade E-2 after completing basic training at the Womens’ Army Corps Center at Fort McClellan, Alaska.
The Dublin Hospital School of Nursing held capping services on Wednesday, Dec. 22 for six graduates: Betty Davis of Comanche, Vaughniece Hill of Dublin, Zoe Shoemaker of DeLeon, Jackie Spraggins of Dublin, Wilda Swanner of Gorman and Betty Vanderpool of Dublin.
The City of Dublin received its quarterly install ment of the sales tax on Dec. 21. The check was in the amount of $5,507.61.
