Children of the Dublin Grammar School made a donation of $57.15 during the Salvation Army-USO drive with Miss Johnnie Mae Vickers’ second grade making the largest donation of $7.40. The High School made a contribution of $13.52.

Jimmie Neal Fair of the Highland Community received the highest Gold Star Award during the Kiwanis Club of Stephenville 4-H Achievement Program.

The City of Dublin named Ken Jurney, superintendent of Public Works, and Jean Malone, city secretary were named interim city managers until a replacement could be hired.
