Separate freak accidents caused damage to vehicles but caused no injuries. Dublin vet, Dr. John Newman, swerved to miss a car when his ’93 Ford pickup fell into a trench that had been dug to repair water lines. It took two wreckers to pull the vehicle out of the ditch. Seventeen year old, Cory Lee James, struck a mailbox and a utility pole and escaped the accident without injury. A house was damaged when Nelda Leanne Wysong, 16, struck it after swerving to miss a vehicle driven by Hazel Lane, 80, who pulled out from a stop sign at the corner of Preston and Clinton.
