A freak accident left a child and two relatives injured. 30 month old Pablo Lemus was playing in his grandfather’s pickup when it slipped into gear and began rolling backwards. The small boy was struck by the open door and pushed under the wheels of the pickup. In an attempt to aid the child, his grandfather Leopaldo Lemus and his mother Jackie Gomez were injured by the moving vehicle. Pablo and his mother were taken to the hospital, where Pablo was diagnosed with several broken ribs and his mother had severe bruising but no broken bones. The grandfather had several bruises and abrasions on the left side of his body.
