March 25, 1921

The Majestic Theatre posted their program for the week of March 25 through 31st. Friday played “The Butterfly Man” starring Lew Cody. Saturday was “A Western Adventure” with William Fairbanks. Monday was “Partners of Fate with Loiuse Lovely. Tuesday was “Wanted At Headquarters” starring Eva Novak. Wednesday was “The Hope” and Thursday was “Ducks and Drakes” with Bebe Daniels.

April 5, 1946

The Corner Drug Store had an advertisement with a list of popular candies and their prices. Chocolate Pecan Delights were $1.00 for a pound and a half pound box was 50 cents. Pecan Roll (half pound) and Pecan Brittle (fourth pound) were also 50 cents. play included three acts.

April 1, 1971

The Shamrock Restaurant advertised their Smorgasbord Special. Thursday night was an all you can eat Fish Night for $1.50. The Shamrock Restaurant was located at 212 W. Blackjack Street.

April 5, 1996

Grass fires had engulfed both sides of Highway 6 as seen in a photo on the front page. Spread by the high winds, the tall grass on both sides of the highway were ablaze and four fire trucks and ten firemen battled the flames for two hours.
