The local community is invited to gather in support of those hurt by violence during a Stop the Silence Rally on Thursday, April 21 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. around the Erath County Courthouse in downtown Stephenville

Advocates will gather and march to raise awareness to end child abuse, sexual assaults, domestic violence, and violent crimes.

This year’s rally will also feature special presentations from B.A.C.A. (Bikers Against Child Abuse) and the Tarleton Corps of Cadets, as well as booths from the Paluxy River Children’s Advocacy Center, Tarleton State University, Texas Health Resources, CASA for the Cross Timbers area, STAR Council on Substance abuse, Pecan Valley Center for Behavioral and Developmental Healthcare, and more!

The event is held in conjunction with National Crime Victims Rights week (April 24-30, 2022), which was established in 1981 by President Ronald Reagan to bring attention and support to victims of crime.

The event also coincides with April as National Child Abuse Month and National Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
