St. Patrick’s Day is quickly headed our way as the annual St. Patrick’s Day festivities are on the horizon for March 13-15.
This year the events organized by the Dublin Chamber of Commerce will include pageants, a 5K, a parade and a slew of activities at the City Park.

Festivities will kick off at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 13 with the Little Miss Dublin Pageant at the Dublin High School.
On Friday, March 14, the Junior Miss Dublin and Miss Dublin Pageants will be held at 6 p.m. also at the high school.
Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students for all pageants.
“I would like to personally invite every person in our community to come watch the pageant. We are going to be putting on a show! We’ve put so much love and care into every detail to honor the rich traditions our community has that makes it so special! Come out and help us make the pageant a community success!” Pageant Director Sarah McNeal-Weaver said.
Activities on Saturday, March 15 will take place at the City Park located on Highland Avenue unless otherwise specified.
The day will kick off at 7:30 a.m. with the Shamrock Shuffle 5K starting next to the Dublin Public Library. Shamrock Shuffle is sponsored by Titan Fitness with chipped timing provided by Race Day Event Services.
Entry is $30. Children under 10 are $15.
Race day registration will be held from 6-6:45 a.m. and packet pick up will be from 3-7 p.m. at Titan Fitness Friday, March 14 or on race day before the race.
Awards will be given after the race.
Vendor set up at the City Park will occur at 8 a.m. and vendors will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
At 10 a.m. in downtown Dublin, the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place in a sea of green and gold.
After the parade, everyone is invited to visit downtown businesses for some shopping prior to heading over to the City Park. The first Market Days of the season will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wright Park Saturday, March 15.
From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. there will be a Classic Car Show sponsored by D&D Rockin’ Rods.
Bounce houses sponsored by the KOA, Bungee jumping/trampoline, Barrell Bull for kids sponsored by Lily G Productions and face painting will all be open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Texas Tornado Tumblers will be performing from Noon-12:45 p.m.
From noon to 2 p.m. there will be an international food festival.
Dishes will be judged by their authentic flavors, and freshness. Participants will be required to provide samples to guests at the St Paddy’s Festival, score cards will be collected and calculated winner will be announced at the festival after 4 p.m. Participants will provide everything necessary for competition and setup by 11:30 a.m. and the location of your booth will be emailed to you.
There is a $250 cash prize for the winner. Any international food is eligible for entry.
There will also be a Pot of Gold Treasure Hunt sponsored by the Stephenville/Dublin KOA at City Park. The first clue will kick off the event at noon.
CareFlite helicopter will land for a display at the baseball field from 1-3 p.m.
Live music will also be performed throughout the day including: 1-2:30 p.m. - Ashton Jones (Singer/Songwriter) 2:30-4:30 p.m. - Meagan Allen (Singer/Songwriter) 4:30 – 5 p.m. – Wild Sapphire Folkloric Dancers – Belly Dancers 5-7 p.m. - Lindsay Hightower (Local Music artist) 7-7:30 p.m. – Wild Sapphire Folkloric Dancers – Belly Dancers 7:30-9:30 p.m. - Rhythm and Flavor (Local Music Artist)
