School will begin next Thursday, Aug. 8 for Dublin ISD.
The school day for elementary and intermediate will be held from 7:45 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. and for secondary (Junior high and high school) the school day will be from 7:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Teachers officially go back to work with staff development beginning Thursday, Aug. 1 with a Welcome Back Teacher breakfast. Staff development will continue through Wednesday, Aug. 7.
This year, Dublin ISD will once again provide school supplies for all students.
DISD will have a hybrid calendar this year with many Mondays off. Mondays off for the 2024-25 school year include: Aug. 19, Sept. 2 and 23, Oct. 14 and 28, Jan. 20, Feb. 3 and 17. Friday, April 18 and Monday, May 26 are listed as bad weather replacement days if needed.
Students will be off for Thanksgiving Monday, Nov. 25 through Friday, Nov. 29 and for Winter break from Monday, Dec. 23 through Friday, Jan. 10.
Spring break will be held March 17 through March 21.
For Lingleville ISD, school will begin Tuesday, Aug. 13 with staff returning Monday, Aug. 5.
School days will be held from 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
School days off for Lingleville ISD Friday, Aug. 16, Monday, Aug. 19, Sept. 2, Oct. 14 and Oct. 28, Thanksgiving Nov. 25-Nov. 29, Winter Break Dec. 23 – Jan. 10, Jan. 20, Feb. 17, Spring Break March 17-21, April 18 and April 21 (Good Friday/Easter holiday), May 2, May 9, May 16 with Early release on May 22.
Bad weather makeup days include Feb. 14 and March 14.
For those who may need assistance with clothes for students there will be a free kids clothes exchange at Cornerstone on Hwy. 27 just off Loop 277 in Stephenville from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 3.
There will be free kids clothes sizes 4T- high school and participants are encouraged to find what they need, bag it up and take it home.
There will also be shoes, jackets and backpacks available.
Anyone wanting to donate gently used clothes from 4T to high school can drop it off through Friday, Aug. 2.
You do not have to donate in order to get clothes at the event and it is open to the public.
