Following a successful first event, Diamond Cross Rodeo is coming back to the Dublin City Park Arena on Sept. 9 and 10 at 7:30 p.m.
The event, sanctioned by United Pro Rodeo Association and Cowboys Professional Rodeo Association, is being sponsored by McCoy’s Building Supply and Triple Crown Ford/ Lincoln.
The rodeo promises more exciting action such as bareback saddle bronc, bull riding, team roping and calf roping events as well as mutton bustin’ and the FFA calf scramble. Time will also once again be set aside to honor local first responders during a 9-11 tribute.
Organizers reported they were able to give more than $3,000 back to the community following the 2021 rodeo through scholarships and donations to local organizations.
Diamond Cross representative Jeff Slaton said they would like to grow these returns and are able to do so with the assistance of sponsorships and banners available in several categories ranging from business/family banner sponsor ($250) to title sponsor ($5,000).
