Body

The following first responder calls were made Aug. 3 through Aug. 10.

Local first responders handled 89 calls during this time and PD completed 34 traffic stops.

Dublin PD Aug. 3

An abandoned vehicle was reported on 377 South and South Patrick Street.

A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 200 block of Highland.

Someone was sleeping in the laundromat in the 400 block of South Patrick. A criminal trespass was issued.

A traffic hazard was reported with pallets in the roadway on FM 219/Hwy. 377.

Dublin PD assisted in looking for the escaped inmate that was later caught.

Suspicious activity was reported in the 400 block of South Park.

DPD assisted another agency with a medicated individual not acting normal.

A single vehicle crash occurred in the 14000 block of South FM 219.

A missing person was reported and later located.

Suspicious activity was reported in the 600 block of North Grafton when someone knocked on the door. When she looked outside there was a white low rider truck with lots of lights with males running around down the road. Truck and subjects were not located.

Dublin PD assisted another agency with a domestic disturbance on FM 219.

Disorderly conduct was reported in the 700 block of North Patrick when a subject was outside cussing at a person and trying to get in.

Aug. 4

Suspicious persons were reported in the 500 block of Thomas Avenue when three young men have been outside the home for about a week between the hours of 2:30 a.m. to 5 a.m. The persons were not located.

A person reported receiving unwanted explicit photos.

A person has been trying to rehome a dog for over a month, has no job and can no longer care for her anymore.

A reporting person asked for a stray female dog that just had puppies be looked at in the 500 block of East Blackjack. Looked to be in bad shape.

Aug. 5

A reckless driver was reported on Hwy. 377/ Allsups in a white Ford truck. Was in out of lanes, passing in no passing zones and had no blinker.

Aug. 6

Dublin PD responded with EMS for a male subject who intentionally drank enough to get alcohol poisoning.

A suspicious person was banging on the door in the 200 block of North Grafton. Reporting person stated if they went out there it wouldn’t end well.

A welfare concern was called in regarding the custody of a child.

A reckless driver was called in on W. Hwy. 6 eastbound when a silver sedan was failing to maintain a lane. They were not located.

A 911 hangup call with a child crying and silence was reported in the 600 block of Austin St. Everything was OK.

Aug. 7

A reporting person requested to speak to an officer after a disagreement with their neighbor over wood chips being washed onto their property. Sometimes you can’t let the chips fall where they may.

An individual’s 13-yearold son sent photos to an unknown person and now they are threatening to post them if they do not send money.

Suspicious people were reported when her son was playing basketball at the gym, and three males kept staying in the area, and they scared him. Advised they looked older, possibly from California.

Aug. 8

The male individual from the county’s previous call was standing in the middle of the roadway on Loop 267.

Dublin PD assisted another agency with a horse out at Shamrock Storage.

A person requested a call back from an officer regarding some baa-d goats that continued to get on her property.

A criminal trespass was issued for someone throwing trees onto an adjoining property.

A reckless driver was reported on Hwy. 377 South when a white Nissan Titan had no taillights and was all over the road. Was pulled over at Allsup’s with the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

Aug. 9

A theft was reported after someone consumed a meal at Granny Clarks, tried to put it on someone’s tab and then left on foot.

DPD was out with an oversized load on West Blackjack.

DPD backed ECSO deputy on traffic stop on North Patrick.

DPD assisted agency on West Hwy. 6 when a subject was throwing rocks at passing cars, and flipping people off.

A report was taken regarding an assault on a 15-year-old female.

Dublin VFD

Aug. 3 – Fire responded to a vehicle fire in the 1000 block of North Patrick at the Shamrock Apartments.

Aug. 4 – A fast spreading grass fire was reported on CR 371, about 15-20 acres.

Aug. 5 – Dublin responded to a rekindle of yesterday’s fire. Responded again to the same fire about three hours later.

Aug. 7 – Brush fire about 1 mile outside Dublin on FM 847. Harbin and Erath were also paged.

Aug. 8 – A feed mixer was on fire on CR 340.

Aug. 8 – A tractor exploded on Hwy. 6. No injuries but field caught on fire.

Aug. 9 – A house fire was reported in the 200 block of Peoples.

Aug. 9 – A large brush fire in between CR 263 and PR 1451 was reported.

Aug. 10 – FD responded back to structure fire from previous day.

Erath County EMS – Dublin Division

Aug. 4 – Both EMS and Fire responded to an elderly male unconscious and not breathing.

Aug. 8 – EMS responded for an elderly male that hit his head, was bleeding with a deep cut.
