The following first responder calls were made June 22-June 29. Local first responders handled 82 calls during this time frame and PD completed 31 traffic stops.
Dublin PD June 22
Dublin PD assisted another agency when a driver hit a horse on South FM 219 North of CR 320. The vehicle was no longer drivable but there were no injuries.
A motorist assist occurred on Davies/Hwy. 6 when a truck broke down in the roadway.
A reporting person reported her car was hit on Saturday in the Dollar General parking lot.
A welfare concern was called in for a person experiencing homelessness Caller usually sees him walking throughout town and has not seen him in a while.
An individual was double checking it was OK to stay overnight in their vehicle at Big’s after securing permission from the owner.
June 23
An officer walked out to their patrol car and someone had left drivers license, ripped photos, social security numbers and other items. Logged as found property.
There was a loose livestock call for a cow on West Blackjack and Short. Owner attempted to secure the animal.
Gabriella Cameron was arrested at the city pool for a warrant (abandoning/ endangering a child, criminal negligence).
A reckless driver was reported when a silver Nissan was swerving on Loop 267 and South Patrick. Vehicle exited Blackjack, headed into Dublin and was not located.
Several loose aggressive dogs were reported at the Dollar General in the 400 block of South Patrick. The individual was in a wheelchair and was concerned about them attacking him.
June 24
An individual called in a welfare concern about a male individual walking on the side of the road having problems walking.
A maroon GMC truck attempted to run a fire truck off the road on FM 847.
An RV struck a stop sign on West Park and West Shanon. It was possibly stuck.
An agency assist occurred when someone was reportedly driving around a dairy in the 4600 block of South FM 219.
June 25
Animals were checked on in the 400 block of West Live Oak when someone reported suspected animal abuse.
A dog bit a 4-year-old child, and the child was taken to the ER.
Suspicious activity occurred in the 400 block of Edwards Dr when a home owner heard loud noises outside their home.
June 26
A cat and kittens were reported at a home in the 300 block of Live Oak. The caller did not own them and was unsure what to do with them.
An injured hawk was reported in the 500 block of Hawk Street. Sometimes in times of trouble, you just need to look for a sign. The reporting person was doing lawn work and was concerned about it getting more hurt.
A subject walked up on a traffic stop in the 500 block of E. Elm Street and advised he was going to assault someone.
June 27
EMS was requested by an officer for a subject that was stung by a wasp and was allergic.
June 27
Work was being done on a church in Grafton and the door had been open all day and night. Reporting person requested officer to check it out.
A reckless driver was reported on South U.S. 377 and North Patrick. A white Hyuandai Elantra passed the reporting person twice going 90 and using the shoulder to pass.
A wallet was turned in for found property.
June 28
A reckless driver call was reported as two semi-trucks on North Hwy. 377 driving on the wrong side of the road. It was advised the trucks were probably about two miles from Dublin.
A reporting person stated damage was done to her vehicle, suspects it was done by a family member. Criminal mischief report was taken.
June 29
An abandoned vehicle was reported in the 1500 block of South Patrick.
An animal at large was reported in the 600 block of North Post Oak. The dog seemed aggressive snarling and barking.
A disturbance was reported when a male allegedly threatened an oversized load with a gun.
A caller reported road rage after a black jeep ran car off roadway on Hwy. 377.
Suspicious activity was reported when people chased the reporting person from the park to their residence on FM 219. The subject was a 15-year-old on a bike, and suspects were in a black truck. Believes they go to school together.
A person with a BB gun was reported on North Grafton Street and North Patrick. The individual on their way to a friend’s house to sell the gun for $20.
Someone was sleeping in a van in the PD parking lot.
Erath County EMS- Dublin division June 26 – EMS requested fire units in regards to a 911 call on a middle-aged female unconscious with heavy breathing.
June 28- a 48-year-old female with a history of stroke complained of leg pains after recent gastro sleeve operation. Patient was airlifted.
Dublin Volunteer Fire Department
June 25 – a large grass fire was reported on CR 385.
June 26 – the fire on CR 385 rekindled.
June 28 – a small fire was reported on the side of the road on South Hwy. 377 near APM manufacturing just a little past Country Flower Plant Farm.
