Body

The following first responder calls were made March 3-March 10. Local first responders handled 40 calls during this time frame and PD completed 16 traffic stops.

Dublin PD March 3

A traffic hazard was reported when a white pickup was parked partially in the roadway behind Brookshires.

An assault was reported in the 200 block of East Blackjack.

A suspicious person came to a home in the 500 block of E. Elm Street stating he was with DirectTV, asked her to put her dog up so he could go inside and check boxes. Person ended up being from DirectTV.

A small kitten was stuck in the fence in the 300 block of North Grafton, and person requested assistance to free it.

March 4

A cattle hauler hit something like a fiber optic line in the 200 block of West Liveoak.

Dollar General’s front motion alarm was activated.

Suspicious activity was reported in the 400 block of Edward Drive.

A disturbance was reported in the 500 block of East Elm Street.

Criminal mischief was reported in the 200 block of East Blackjack St.

A suspicious person was reported in the 200 block of West Clinton St. when a younger male was reported in a person’s yard.

A calf was reported off the roadway on West Hwy. 6/Rest stop in Dublin. Calf was not located.

A rattlesnake was reportedly on the back porch in the 600 block of East Myrtle, and then went into a utility room. The snake was captured, and there was no more sneaky snake.

March 5

A motorist assist occurred on Hwy. 377/ Patrick.

A reckless driver call was reported on North Patrick when a white F-250 almost hit the reporting person head on.

A caller advised the fish pond in Corner Lot was overflowing, and the fish were dying.

A theft inside Allsups was reported.

An individual was reportedly knocking on doors on East Clinton Street.

A welfare concern was called in for a subject possibly experiencing self harm thoughts. Mental help was received.

A traffic hazard was reported in the 400 block of North Grafton with multiple vehicles blocking the roadway when lined up for the church’s food drive.

A welfare concern was called in for an older gentleman at the Post Office with a bandage on his face. He was not located.

March 6

A person issued a welfare concern after an individual threatened self-harm.

An agency assist occurred on an assault in the 200 block of Blackjack.

A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 2200 block of East Hwy. 6.

A vehicle crash was reported on FM 219 when a vehicle drove through fence. No injuries reported.

March 7

Javier Parra was arrested on a charge of assault family violence.

A subject requested EMS.

March 8

A black pickup was reported for illegal dumping of trash in the 200 block of North Post Oak.

A suspicious person in the 300 block of West Valley Street reported a thin Hispanic male knocking on doors, screaming there are snakes everywhere and that all the houses were going to explode.

March 9

A gas line was hit in the 500 block of South Grafton. It was supposed to be a dead line.

A noise complaint was issued in the 500 block of East Liveoak Street for a person working on a vehicle with very loud music and bass.

Suspicious activity was reported when someone called reporting person stating they had a summons for her. Caller did not identify but caller ID showed Dublin TX City Water Works.

An unattended death was reported on Central Street.

March 10

Suspicious activity was reported in the 500 block of West Thomas. Person’s neighbors keep coming on the property and he doesn’t want them there.

An agency assist was given at Allsups while a consent search was done.

A funeral escort was done for Harrell Funeral Home by the cemetery near the high school.

Dublin VFD

March 4 – A fire was reported south of Hwy., 6 and West of FM 914. Department was disregarded.

March 5 – A coastal field was on fire in the 1900 block of CR 508.

March 5 – A person saw a few flames with brush at a house in the 900 block of East Blackjack.

March 8 – A brush pile lit a hay field on fire on CR 313 March 8 – A controlled burn got out of control and was near structures on S. Highway 377.

March 9 – Fire was enroute to Dollar General (on South Patrick) for a garage truck with its bed on fire, supposedly dumping it in the parking lot. Nothing was dumped.
