The following first responder calls were made Jan. 12–Jan. 18. Local first responders handled 71 calls during this time frame and PD completed 23 traffic stops.
Dublin PD Jan. 12
A reckless driver was reported on North Patrick when a blue Ford pick up with a black trailer was unable to maintain a lane and speed. They were not located.
A reporting person advised they hit a gas pipe line in the 400 block of North Clinton. There were no injuries and the leak was stopped. Atmos was dispatched.
PD provided a funeral escort for Harrells.
There were three brown horses, one with a blanket, walking on Hwy. 377 from Allsup’s to the Dublin area. The pack of ponies was not on scene when the officer arrived, so there was no need for ‘nag’ging.
An agency assist occurred in the 200 block of East Blackjack.
A disorderly conduct call was started for someone allegedly urinating on some bikes in the 300 block of Highland Ave.
Jan. 13
A one vehicle accident occurred on Hwy. 6 when a vehicle hit a culvert.
A vehicle accident with entrapment occurred on the Loop and FM 219.
A male subject knocked on someone’s door in the 500 block of Highland Avenue. The reporting person requested to speak to an officer immediately. A criminal trespass warning occurred.
Jan. 14
A reporting person advised he had picked up a little dog that had been ran over in front of DQ and wanted to speak to animal control to see what could be done. Jan. 15 A motorist assist occurred in the 600 block of North Patrick.
An alarm was activated in the 200 block of South Patrick.
An agency assist was requested on Hwy. 6/Loop.
A vehicle accident was reported at Dublin Auto when someone backed into a car.
A noise complaint was issued for a dog that won’t stop barking in the 500 block of Live Oak.
Jan. 16
An inmate was transported from the jail to Dublin.
A truck was parked under the overpass on Hwy. 6 blocking the lane. Nobody was in or around the vehicle.
There was a vehicle with problems in the roadway in the 700 block of North Patrick. They drove home slowly.
A custody issue was called in. Will be a civil issue.
A possible gas leak was reported in the 1100 block of Thomas St.
A person hit a black and white dog in the 2200 block of East Hwy. 6 and they are still on the street.
A disturbance was reported with a teen with mental illness. Help was given.
The driver of a red Ford pickup was locked out. No animals or people inside. The vehicle was able to be unlocked.
A dog bite was reported of a three year old boy.
Jan. 17
An alarm activated in the 300 block of North Patrick.
A person locked themselves out of their house. PD was able to assist since his keys were inside.
A disturbance was reported in the 500 block of East Elm with people arguing.
Jan. 18
A funeral escort occurred on Hwy. 6.
A black or grey car almost ran the reporting person off the road on FM 219/CR 313 multiple times. Car was not located.
Erath EMS- Dublin Division
Jan. 15 – called in for an elderly male with a possible stroke Jan. 18 – An elderly female fell and her hip was hurting Dublin VFD Jan. 16 - There was a grass fire on the side of the road on FM 219.
Jan. 17 – A brush fire was reported on South FM 914.
