The following first responder calls were made Aug. 18–Aug. 17. Local first responders handled 77 calls during this timeframe and PD completed 24 traffic stops.
Dublin PD Aug. 18
A welfare concern was issued for an elderly individual.
A civil matter about eviction was called in.
Aug. 19
Suspicious activity for two males on electric skateboards dressed in all black with lights on their helmets was called in for the 700 block of Sheridan.
A suspicious person was reported in the 700 block of North Patrick.
There was a skunk in the backyard in the 300 block of Hawk St.
Aug. 20
A suspicious vehicle was reported at Prime.
There was a vehicle with its trunk open reported in the 600 block of Ireland.
A courtesy ride was given to two individuals.
A two vehicle crash occurred in the 200 block of East Blackjack. No injuries and the vehicles were transported via Glueck’s.
A gentleman was laying on the side of the road on Hwy. 377. He was picking up trash and had a backache.
An agency assist was requested on a traffic stop for Hwy. 377 for a county unit.
Aug. 21
An alarm was activated in the 300 block of North Grafton.
A criminal trespass warning was issued after a suspicious person.
A medical alarm was activated in the 300 block of East Valley.
A 10-year-old autistic child did not get off the school bus. There was a miscommunication with the school about pickup, and the child was delivered home by the school.
Aug. 22
A person needed information about how to take out a restraining order.
A person called city hall stating they heard gunshots.
A subject was harassing employees at the Dollar General in the 400 block of North Patrick St.
Someone at a garage sale on Highland Avenue was selling medicine from Mexico.
An agency assist occurred and Dublin PD helped in the 1200 block of E. State Hwy. 6.
A 911 hangup occurred in the 600 block of North Grafton St.
Dublin assisted with an agency assist at Dublin Cemetery/CR 322.
A disturbance occurred in 700 Block of N. Patrick. Pedro Dimas was arrested for assault family violence.
Aug. 23
Potential illegal antibiotics were being sold at a location.
A follow up investigation occurred regarding an emergency protective order.
An agency assist occurred when Dublin backed up another unit on a traffic stop.
A criminal trespass warning was served.
Aug. 24
A disturbance occurred in the 400 block of Moore.
A dead cat was reported in front of a neighbor’s house in the 800 block of Courtney Dr.
Goats were reportedly having a baaa-d day on Trowbridge Street as they were out and trying to be corralled by PD.
A welfare concern was called in by a child via 911 when their mom was asleep. When the 911 dispatcher asked the child to wake up the mom, the child said, “No.”
Dublin EMS
Aug. 19 – A middle aged female with left side face drooping and ear pain requested medical assistance. Aug. 20 – An elderly male was showing lethargy and was in and out of consciousness.
Aug. 21 – An elderly female fell and hit her head. She was awake and then lost consciousness. Air Evac transported the female.
Aug. 22 – A person was on a bus with a passenger that was asleep and fell out of chair. Needs help lifting him back in the chair. An elderly female fell and her nose was bleeding. An elderly female had a UTI a week ago, could not walk and needed to go back to the ER.
Aug. 23 – An elderly female on Hospice fell and needed assistance to get up. An elderly female was not acting right.
Dublin Volunteer Fire Aug. 19 – Comanche County fire requested Dublin for mutual aid for an unpermitted rekindle burn on CR 470.
Aug. 20 – Dublin VFD was called for a tire smoking in the grass, but was disregarded.
Aug. 21 – A gas line was damaged in the 500 block of East Church. A structure fire was reported at Cutting Edge Cabinets.
Aug. 22 – A person sees flames again at Cutting Edge Cabinets and thinks it has rekindled.
Aug. 23 – Smoke was coming from a ceiling in the 500 block of Blackjack.
