From Staff Reports
Thefollowingfirstresponder calls were made July 14–July 21. Local first responders handled 80 calls during this timeframe and PD completed 21 traffic stops.
Dublin PD July 14
A Dodge Pickup was sitting at the intersection of FM 219/ FM 2156 with heavy front end damage. It was unknown if anyone was in the vehicle.
DPD assisted another agency with an 18 wheeler vs. cow.
There was a 911 hangup call from a 911 only phone. The phone was in a pocket, everything was OK.
A front door alarm was triggered in the 400 block of Liberty Street. Response was canceled with pin.
An assault between two people was reported.
A 911 hangup call was reported. Person was called backmultipletimes,eventually called the admin phone back.
July 15
Seven or eight puppies on the side of the road were reported in the 600 block of South Norton. No persons in the area.
A disturbance was reported in the 100 block of East Blackjack Street.
Reckless driving was reported on Hwy. 377 when a silver Toyota Tacoma was swerving, speeding in and out of traffic with its hazard lights on.
July 16
Officers responded to a call about harassment involving a child custody case.
A disturbance was called in about a male on drugs allegedly trying to attack another.
Someone reported a vehicle crash on West Sheridan.
Sylvestre Baza had numerous warrants out of Copperas Cove and was arrested after a traffic stop.
A person in the 700 block of North Camden reported gunshots. Fireworks were being shot off.
A harassment between two individuals was reported.
A person stated that they had been having issues with a neighbor and their son. Started receiving texts telling her to come over.
July 17
A dog on North Davies Street was trying to bite people.
A found dog on East Blackjack was returned home.
A vehicle vs. dog was reported on East Blackjack and Biggs.
A bicycle with no reflectors was spoke to by an officer An officer talked to an individual who was having sexually assault comments sent to their cell phone.
Suspicious activity was reported at the back of the park.
July 18
A consent search was done during a traffic stop and nothing was found.
A 911 hangup call occurred in the 700 block of Woodland Trail. Dispatch was unable to make out what was being said and callback went straight to voicemail. An officer checked out the location. Everything was OK, person was mowing.
A person called about a dog being in a hot car in the 200 block of North Patrick. Car was not running, but window was cracked. Car left before officer arrived.
A vehicle crash occurred on Hwy. 377. It was a single vehicle crash with a tire blowout.
A pickup with teenagers was throwing sunflower seed bottles at a person’s windshield. Subjects left going towards DQ on Patrick Street. They were not located.
A terroristic threat was reported between two individuals.
July 19
A person was concerned about the traffic cause by the railroad arms being stuck down.
PD was called in regards to a custody exchange.
DPD responded for an agency assist for a reckless vehicle swerving on Hwy. 377 and The Loop.
A criminal trespass was issued at the laundry mat.
July 20
A vehicle crash occurred on the Loop and no injuries.
Dublin EMS
July 14 – An elderly male fell and hit his head. Had a previous history of a broken hip, was conscious and breathing. A middle aged woman with known heart failure and other medical issues could not keep down liquids or food.
July 16 – A little boy was pale and lethargic after possibly taking part of a Cymbalta pill the previous day. Was conscious and breathing. July 17 – EMS responded to a person bit on the hand by a Copperhead snake.
July 18 – An elderly male fell and is hurting.
July 19 – A male with cancer is unable to get up and stand on his own. Alert but sweating, keeps trying to fall asleep. A female fell and could not get up. Did not hit her head. July 20 – An elderly female fell and injured her knee. A middle aged female was having back to back seizures.
Dublin Fire
July 14 – There was a hay field on fire on CR 250. No structures or vehicles in the area.
July 19 – A fire was in a ravine on PR 1142. No one was around it. A brush pile control burn was getting out of control on CR 347. The property owner will watch it instead of extinguishing it.
