The following first responder calls were made Jan. 27-Feb. 2. Local first responders handled 76 calls during this timeframe.

Dublin PD Jan. 27

A reporting person requested an officer due to their cat going up their neighbor’s tree and refusing to come down due to the dog.

An officer was requested for a welfare concern.

A panic alarm went off at the intermediate school. False alarm.

There was a German Shepherd near the church on Grafton that had been there for two days. Some people advised it had been aggressive.

There were two red flares reported in the middle of the road in the 700 block of Thomas.

Jan. 28

An officer was requested for a welfare concern.

A reporting person called in a reckless driver on FM 219 when a blue Ford Escape with no license plate was swerving into oncoming traffic.

Two silver trucks were racing on Hwy. 377 and called in as reckless driving.

Exit alarm went off at Blaze City Smoke.

Jan. 29

A citizen contact occurred.

Jan. 30

Traffic control at North Post Oak and East Valley was completed.

A follow up investigation occurred.

A possible hit and run occurred in the 500 block of East Liveoak.

A female was kicked out of a truck in the 600 block of West Live Oak.

A follow up investigation occurred.

Traffic control at North Post Oak and East Valley was completed.

A follow up investigation occurred.

An alarm sounded in the 200 block of South Patrick.

Jan. 31

An alarm sounded in the 200 block of South Patrick.

An officer was requested for a welfare concern.

A welfare concern was completed on a patient with mental concerns.

Arrests made on driver writing fraudulent checks.

Suspicious activity was reported on South Park Street.

A theft was reported in the 500 block of Liveoak Street when a chair was removed from a house.

Feb. 1

Juan Gonzales was arrested for DWI in the 100 block of South Davies after a traffic stop.

A funeral escort was completed for Harrell’s Funeral Home.

A terroristic threat was reported after a civil issue call.

Yelling was later reported in regard to the same civil issue call.

Kerrie Ortiz was arrested on a warrant after police responded to a disturbance.

There was a front door alarm activated in the 200 block of South Patrick Street.

There was a noise complaint about loud music and sounds of construction in the 700 block of North Grafton.

Feb. 2

A back door alarm was activated in the 200 block of South Patrick Street.

A person called in a fire in the 700 block of North Patrick after seeing smoke.

A harassment call was reported in the 600 block of North Patrick when a Hispanic male stopped a person in their yard, asked for money and to use her phone. The reporting person requested an officer to make contact with him.

Loose cattle was reported in the 1200 block of South Liberty Street.

A citizen contact was made.

19 traffic stops were conducted.

Dublin EMS

Jan. 27 – Medical call for elderly having difficulty breathing Jan. 27 – A lift assist was requested Jan. 28 – an elderly patient fell, has severe knee pain, elevated temp and was weak. A patient was short of breath and weak. A Referee passed out. A patient with inconsistent blood sugar was feeling sick Jan. 29 – passed out patient nonresponsive but breathing; took gabapentin and vicodin together. agency assist for SFD unconscious person at Walmart – was canceled. EMS responded for chest pains.

Jan. 30 – an elderly patient started shaking Jan. 31 – an elderly patient fell on the sidewalk. A male patient passed out in the lobby of Greens Creek Vet.

Feb. 1 – a medical alarm activated when an elderly patient fell. EMS responded when a female was unsure of what was going on. EMS responded to a patient with low blood sugar that didn’t feel good.

Feb. 2 – A patient was unconscious but breathing. Recently had surgery and took multiple medications overnight. A patient was airlifted.

Dublin VFD

Feb. 1 – A dumpster fire was reported in the 13600 block of Hwy. 377. Debris next to structure was on fire. Smoke was reported later in the area of CR 249.
