A wide variety of supporters joined in a peaceful protest Monday, Feb. 3 in Stephenville along Hwy. 377 near Dollar Tree and Walmart. The protest was held in favor of immigration rights, racial justice, workers’ rights and political representation. According to organizers, one major issue is mass deportations, which have separated families and left many undocumented immigrants living in fear. Protesters are advocating for fair immigration policies, improved pathways to citizenship and protections for those at risk of deportation. The Stephenville Police Department was on hand for safety reasons and to escort the protestors as they marched down Washington Street.
