Aug. 15

A reporting person advised they heard a woman crying with multiple people outside in the 600 block of North Patrick Street. An officer did not locate any woman or disturbance but there was a small party that may have been the cause of the noise.

A person requested a welfare check on a family across from Dairy Queen that was standing with suitcases. Officers checked on them and they were waiting for a ride to arrive.

A person reported that one of her tenants’ storage units was broken into and expensive things were stolen.

A reporting person advised they heard a male and a female yelling at each other in the 500 block of South Park Street. Officer spoke to them and there was no argument, everything was OK.

Aug. 16

A resident at Three Oaks needs to make a fraud report after someone removed large amounts of money from their account.

A reporting person advised they received a phone call stating they were going to take his daughter. Officer came to speak with them, attempted to contact the suspect back several times and the number was not in service. Officers and the reporting person believe it was a scam caller and advised them to call the PD again if they call back.

A report was made of someone going through the trash and yelling at him in the 600 block of South Park. Officer responded, spoke with the individual and everything was okay. Parties were separated.

Officer responded to a stranded motorist on CR 340 and they had someone picking them up due to the truck breaking down.

A reporting person called with some questions about how to get a teenager to go to school.

Aug. 17

A reporting person called about a brown dog being locked in a truck. Officer located the vehicle which had its windows down in a shaded area with no owner around. Owner was able to be contacted and the dog was removed from the vehicle.

A person advised that she had a stray cat in her bed box spring.

There was a report of loud music on North Davies but music was turned down before the officer got in the area.

There was a loud car horn going off in the area. The alarm was shut off at Ronny’s Tire Service, possible that rain got inside the electronics and caused the issue.

Aug.18

There was a report of a male subject on a motorcycle that has been camping out behind the Allsup’s. A criminal trespass was issued.

An officer made contact with a citizen and she said that some-one has been coming on her property and built a burial plot out of rocks near the road. She also said someone has been shining a light into her daughter’s bedroom. The address was put on close patrol.

A person in the 500 block of South Park wanted to talk to an officer about the police being around his house so much.

A reporting person called about someone trying to get into the house in the 600 block of Ireland. Officers responded and no one was located.

Aug. 19

Officers responded to a disturbance between a male and female on South Park. They separated and agreed not to cause a scene in public or in the street.

Aug. 20

A report was made of a reckless driver swerving all over the road on U.S. Hwy. 377 South.

There was a report of damage to a fence on Preston Lane. Officers took photos and moved forward with the investigation.

There was a report of loud mu-sic at an apartment in the 300 block of Highland. Officer went to locate music and did not find any.

Aug. 21

A reporting person advised there is a homeless male subject that keeps knocking on his door and then goes back to Allsups. Officers advised him that he could be criminally trespassed from the property.

Dublin PD assisted Erath County Sheriff’s Office with a follow up in the 200 block of Hurt Street.

A reporting person requested a standby at Gonzalez Trucking due to getting into an argument with another party.

Aug. 22

A report was made on Aug. 21 about the assault by contact of a Dairy Queen employee. In reference to the call, an investigation was started on the suspect and it was found out that the suspect Deon McCrary was wanted by the Lake View PD for two counts of aggravated sexual assault on a child. McCrary was taken into custody on the warrant.

There was a report of a male on a bike with no shirt headed into Dublin on North Patrick trying to get into vehicles in the parking lot. He was last seen at Allsup’s.

A reporting person advised that someone was banging on the door periodically in the 200 block of Bryan. Officer spoke with the reporting party and did not see anyone or anything suspicious.
