Dublin PD helped another agency for a reported theft at the Dublin Allsup’s. A male subject stole an alcoholic beverage from the store.
A reporting person called in about an injured porcupine on South Liberty. By the time the officer arrived the porcupine had left the scene.
A cow was reported out on the shoulder of Hwy. 6. The reporting person called back and advised the cow was back in the fence.
A person called about a dog charging her on Cherryvine/ Oneil Street and she was concerned it may bite a child or someone else. The offi cer located the owners and gave them a warning about their dog being at large, saying next time they will receive a citation.
Aug. 30
A reporting person advised there was someone knocking on their door in the 600 block of Ireland. Officers checked the area and did not locate any suspicious activity.
Dublin PD assisted Erath County deputies on a warrant service and when they located the suspect he fled. A female, Eva Vasquez, was located and taken into custody on Class C warrants.
Aug. 31
A report was mA report was made of a green truck in the 400 block of South Patrick with two males fishtailing their truck.
A reporting person called about a neighbor’s dogs killing chickens in the 500 block of West Liveoak.
Sept. 2
An investigation was conducted in the 200 block of East Blackjack regarding juveniles and terroristic threats.
Dublin PD arrested David Rold on a criminal trespass violation.
A person reported that someone pulled up on the side of the house, looked at materials stacked there and took a cedar post in the 500 block of West Oniel.
A reckless driver was reported on Hurt Street. An officer made contact with the driver at a stop sign and he advised his truck was breaking down which is why he was spinning tires.
Sept. 3
person called about someone being at the feed mill by Big’s and stated it was way too early for them to be working on anything and making that much noise.
A person called about a large portion of the City Park being closed off and asked if they have the right to keep citizens out of the park. Officer spoke with the person and advised that the back portion of the park was rented from the city. The person said he wasn’t happy and would file a complaint against the city manager.
A person advised that he was charged by his neighbor’s dog in the 600 block of North Post Oak. The offi cer made contact with the owner and the dog came out and charged the officer. OC spray was used by the officer and he advised the owner the animal needed to be leashed while outside. The owner was given a warning.
A reporting person said that he was trying to open his door and noticed the markings of someone who tried to break into his vehicle in the 400 block of East Harris. A neighbor had advised him that someone was trying to break into his vehicle last week.
Sept. 4
A reporting person advised someone stole a generator from his yard in the 500 block of West Sheridan.
A person normally gets an early morning drink from Sonic using the app and was concerned no one was there. She wanted an officer to check on the place because they are normally open by the time she gets her drink. An officer spoke with the worker and she said she was waiting on her boss to get there to open the doors.
A reporting person had some of his plates stolen off the trailer he borrowed from a friend and needed to make a report.
An officer tried to locate the owner of a dog in the 400 block of West Live Oak that bit someone. The owner was located and a citation was issued.
