Oct. 21

A person in the 500 block of North Camden was locked out of their home. An officer was able to get the person back into the residence.

A fraud investigation occurred in the 100 block of East Blackjack.

A reporting person’s phone was missing and was tracked to the high school. The phone was taken from the locker room and the school staff was notified. Officer received information that another student had taken the phone and was returned to the reporting person.

Randy Dickey was arrested for assault/verbal threat and citations were issued to multiple parties after a familial dispute.

Oct. 22

A CPS intake for child abuse occurred.

A reporting person advised his car was hit at his apartment in the 300 block of Blackjack.

A reporting person in the 600 block of Burnett had a female staying with him, and she took all his financial information and used his debit card.

A CPS intake report occurred.

Oct. 23

Noise was coming from the direction of Dollar General on South Patrick. Officer in the area heard loud music from a body shop and asked them to turn it down.

A welfare check on an elderly male in the 100 block of West Mesquite.

A reporting person requestedasubjectcriminally trespassed from the residence after a physical altercation.

There was a report of a disturbance. Officers spoke with the couple after a verbal argument. Both parties declined to prosecute and the parties separated.

A reporting person requested an officer to meet him. He needed to get some of his stuff from the house and he can’t go there because of a protection order.

There was a fire at an apartment complex in the 100 block of West Mesquite with an elderly male possibly inside.

Oct. 24

An elderly man wanted to turn himself in, but there were no charges pending.

Oct. 25

A CPS worker was needing to check on an address and requested an officer due to the history.

A reporting person in the 500 block of Trowbridge heard gun shots outside, but did not see anyone standing outside of her home. Officer made scene to speak to her, and she stated she did not know which direction it came from. Officer stayed in the area for awhile and did not hear any shooting.

There was a report from City Hall that a check in an envelope from the deposit box was sitting on the table in the lobby, and a male came in, opened it, put it in a phone book and left. Officer reviewed camera footage and was able to get the identity and address of subject. The check was retrieved from the male.

An officer met the mother of a runaway at Dairy Queen. Mom stated that her daughter has orders that she can’t be out at a certain time and left the house. The juvenile returned to the residence while officer was on scene.

There was a report of loud music coming from a Halloween party on Briarwood. A reporting person wants the music turned down. Officer made contact with the residence owner and they were asked to keep the music down. A second phone call for the loud music occurred not long after they were asked to turn the music down. Officer returned and asked them again to turn the music down. They were warned that the next time would be a noise violation and they would receive a citation.

Oct. 26

There was a report of arguing at the pavilion and basketball courts in the City Park.

Oct. 27

A reporting person in the 200 block of East Clinton said the neighbor’s dog is running loose in her yard, using the bathroom and chasing family members, not aggressively. Officer went to reporting person’s address and dog was no longer there. They will look in the area for it.

There was a report of juveniles having sex in one of the trailers on PR 1610. Officer arrived on scene and no sex was taking place, but kids were being destructive. Information was gathered until county deputies arrived.

A verbal disturbance occurred between two brothers.

There was a report of a suspicious vehicle parked by the park. People were out of the vehicle walking around the Housing Authority. Officer made scene and located three males in a black SUV at the park area who advised they were picking up a friend and seemed to be nervous. Subjects advised they lost a license plate due to a crash and they were out of Michigan. A close patrol was conducted for the rest of the night.
