Sept. 16
There was a welfare check request in the 200 block of Harrell. Officer made contact and everything was OK.
There was a horse out on Hwy. 6/West Blackjack headed toward town. Horse was located and estrayed to the county until the owner can pick it up, and show proof of ownership of the horse.
A reporting person in the station had received a text message saying they were a police officer telling them to sign something and give them money. This was determined to be a scam and the reporting person was advised not to give money or give out personal information.
Sept. 17
A reporting person in the station wanted to document that a male subject that lives in the housing authority is acting strange, following her around and then saying he was being followed by the reporting person. Reporting person advised he has done this to other people and the apartment manager has been informed. They advised the reporting person to come down to have it documented.
A reporting person has a concern about a dog in a backyard that is chained up in the 500 block of West Blackjack. Call was referred to animal control.
Sept. 18
A reporting person was concerned about a neighbor’s house that looked like neighbor’s door had been busted in. Officer made scene and found a window to be broke and speaking with a family member and it was determined that while mowing the lawn a rock went through the window.
A reporting person left their house earlier and arrived back home to an open front door. Officer made scene spoke with reporting person and husband and they were positive they locked the door. Officer went inside to check the house and saw nobody and everything looked to be untouched.
Sept. 19
There was a welfare check request on a suicidal female. She could not be located.
Dublin PD assisted another agency on Hwy. 377 with a 20-year-old male with an AR-15 that made comments about suicide. Dublin PD was on scene with deputies with one male detained. Mental health call was made for the individual.
Sept. 20
A reporting person at the bank next to DQ wanted an officer to make scene for another driver that ran him off the road. Officer made scene and spoke with both parties and made sure they understood how dangerous it is to be involved in a road rage incident.
A reporting person sold a camper to a lady on Facebook and she gave the reporting person fake money.
A reporting person in the 400 block of South Norton had a rattlesnake in her backyard. Officer made scene and the rattlesnake was relocated.
Sept. 21
A close patrol was conducted in the 300 block of North Camden after a strange noise was heard.
There was a report of a loud party and people yelling, possibly a disturbance in the 700 block of North Grafton. Officer made scene and spoke to the home owner and everyone was discussing the Cowboys and Saints football game. Nobody was fighting or arguing.
There was an APS investigation. Adult Protective Service spoke with an officer about a situation with an elderly female.
Sept. 22
A reporting person advised there was a sick bull left at city park. Officer made scene and observed the bull to have water but visibly sick. Officer spoke with the owner and they stated the bull fell ill and they are administering medical help for the animal.
