Aug. 5
A reporting person came into the station needing to speak to an officer. No other info was provided.
Aug. 6
A tree fell across the 300 block of Hawk blocking traffic. Public works was contracted and the tree was moved.
Hico PD requested assistance serving a criminal trespass in Dublin. Officers were able to make contact with the individual and a trespass was served.
Aug. 7
There was a reckless driver call on Hwy. 377 for a car weaving in and out of traffic.
A purse was found at City Park and returned to the owner.
Police responded to a mental health crisis.
Aug. 8
A reporting party locked herself out of the house. Officer made scene and was able to get the caller back in the residence.
There was a gas drive off at Allsup’s. Officer made contact with the vehicle owner and they did not realize their card was declined. They headed back to pay for the gas.
Two parties received citations for assault after Dublin PD was advised of a disagreement in the 400 block of W. Blackjack that turned physical.
A reporting party heard a male screaming in the 500 block of Blackjack but did not see anyone around. Officer made scene, searched the area and did not locate anyone screaming for help.
Aug. 9
A reporting party locked herself out of her house again. Officer made scene and was able to get her back into the residence.
A caller expressed concern that a known individual was going to drive and had drunk alcoholic beverages. Officer made scene and spoke to the male and he did state that he had a couple of drinks, but is not intoxicated. Officer did not see any signs of intoxication and everything was OK.
A reporting party stated their business partner took a wifi modem that belonged to the business. Officer advised this was a civil matter since both parties owned the business and they were advised of legal options.
Aug. 10
There was a head-on collision on South Park/ Blackjack and one vehicle left to get their husband. Officer on scene spoke with the other person involved in the crash who stated she was stopped at the stop sign and the other vehicle came across the road and hit her head on. Other party arrived back on scene with her husband, and it was determined that the driver did not have a valid drivers license and received a citation.
Teenage boys were riding an ATV on the road recklessly in the 700 block of North Grafton. They were speeding and swerving back and forth on the street. The kids went into a house across the street.
Aug. 11
A reporting person wants to make sure husband is OK. She made him get out of the vehicle because of an argument and was afterwards concerned for his well being.
