Sue Land of Hico (seen above at Things Celtic) and Dublin author Elaine Fields Smith were accompanied by Hillsboro filmmaker on Feb. 2 as they led a walking tour around Dublin hot spots as a potential pilot for a show about activities for seniors around Texas. Land and Smith have been featuring such activities on the Facebook page, “Back Roads with Miss Sue.” Smith said they were filming the pilot after interest was expressed by stations in Dallas and Waco. Smith said they filmed 72 pieces at 10 Dublin locations, which she was set to edit before presenting it to the interested stations around the beginning of March. With less than a month away, plans are underway for the 2021 Dublin St. Patrick’s Day Celebration. The event is expected to include live music, the return of vendors in Dublin Market Days, the annual parade and more, including two new additions, which will be at the Dublin City Park: a disc golf shootout and a rodeo.

Disc Golf Tournament
