Comanche County Medical Center is set to receive a $200,000 from the James and Dorothy Doss Foundation, which will go towards furniture and fixtures for the new nursing home building.

The Hamilton Community Center served more than 75 meals to senior citizens on Thanksgiving day.
Trinity Lutheran Church in Pottsville is celebrating 130 years of worshipping in the community. The church was organized on Jan. 1, 1891 by Lutheran families throughout western Hamilton County. The first building was constructed in 1907 between Pottsville and Indian Gap. After a mysterious fire destroyed the first building, land was purchased in Pottsville and the church was dedicated in late 1937.

The annual DeLeon Community Thanksgiving service was held Nov. 28 at First Baptist Church with music led by Methodist band members Kevin and Debbie Caraway and Dotty Hare and Fair Haven Baptist Church pastor Kenneth Wilson offering the message.
The DeLeon City Council approved pursuing a grant from the Office of the Governor that will cover 75% of the cost of four body cameras for DeLeon police officers.
