Local grads earn honors

Several local graduates have received honors and distinctions from universities for the spring 2024 semester.

Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, conferred 844 undergraduate and graduate degrees on 824 graduates during the 2024 spring commencement exercises May 10-11 at the ASU Junell Center/Stephens Arena.

Graduates included: Rachel Prescott of Hico Master of Science in Professional School Counseling Angel Ramirez of Dublin - Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting Angelo State University, founded in 1928, is a thriving four-year public school in Texas. Berry College recently announced its newest class of graduates for 2024.

Allee Mainord of Stephenville, TX, earned a BSH degree in Biochemistry from Berry College in Mount Berry, Georgia.

Southern New Hampshire University named Bailey Holley of Stephenville to the Winter 2024 President’s List and Dawn McCarty of DeLeon to the Winter 2024 Dean’s List.

The winter terms run from January to May.

Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the Dean’s List. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the President’s List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/ spring, and summer.
