Library seeks input for disability services grant

Body

The Dublin Public Library is hosting a community conversation for library disability services after they have received a grant. The feedback received from this Community Conversation determines how the library uses the grant.

The library is actively seeking to enhance their services, support and resources for those who identify as disables or have loved ones who are disabled.

Before utilizing a grant that the library has received, they need the communities feedback so that they can ensure that they’re filling in the library’s support and services gaps.

“When I did the grant application it was primarily focused on sensory needs and programming because that has been the most common request from patrons,” Library Health Programming Coordinator Kourtney Warner said. “If there are other needs that might be more prevalent but haven’t been voiced yet, this is the perfect opportunity to do so.”

They are inviting everyone to join in a conversation to explore and learn ways they can further develop and improve to better support the disabled community. They will schedule a date and time that allows as many to attend as possible.

While the library would love to have the conversation face-to-face, please don’t hesitate to contact them if you are unable to join us for an in-person session. They are committed to making necessary accommodations to ensure participation.
