Jilt headed to state

Dublin Cross Country Runner Jilt DeBoer (second from left) is competing the state event Friday at 10:30 a.m. in Old Settlers Park in Round Rock after placing 12th at regional competition on Oct. 25 with a time of 18:00. “He seems to be focused and ready to train his hardest for Round Rock,” said Dublin XC head coach Wes Grisham. The boys finished 10th as a team with Grisham noting that competition was close as only 39 points separated third from 10th place. The boys team included DeBoer, Manuel Candelario, Ayush Patel, Giovanni Rodriguez, Joel Escobar, Lisandro Ortiz and Emiliano Herandez.
