Matthew Thompson, technology director at Huckabay ISD, was arrested on multiple warrants regarding child sex crimes.
According to information released by the Erath County Sheriff’s Office, ECSO in conjunction with the North Texas Internet Crimes Against Children taskforce, executed a search warrant inside the city limits of Stephenville.
Information and evidence gathered from the search warrant in conjunction with information previously gathered during the investigation led to the issuance of multiple warrants for Thompson.
Huckabay ISD officials were made aware of this investigation and cooperated fully to ensure the safety of their students. He has been placed on administrative leave and has not been on campus since Jan. 14.
Thompson has been arrested on child grooming, a Third Degree felony and sexual performance by a child, a First Degree felony.
