Howdy Enterprise is staging another day of exciting golf and activities to benefit local charities as they host the second annual Howdy Fest on Aug. 14 at PAR Country Club.
In addition to the golf tournament, activities include a cook off, top golf and live music.
Proceeds this year will benefit the Comanche County Healthcare Foundation, the Dublin Athletic Booster Club, the Howdy Foundation and the Stephenville Education Foundation.
General admission for the event will be $5 and include access to ‘Top Golf Howdy Style,’ food and beverages, swimming pool, live music, raffle drawings and a live auction.
Entry into the tourney is $500 per three-person team including three mulligans and six drink tickets.
The event will start with a 10 a.m. check-in for player followed by a shotgun start at noon. Cook-off teams will be set up every third hole showcasing their best margarita, salsa and a meat of their choice. Golfers and guests will submit their votes for their favorite and official judges will taste samples at 3:30 p.m.
Top Golf will begin at 2 p.m. as guest play for prizes by trying to sink in wheelie bin dumpsters set up by Howdy organizers.
Winners of the tourney and the cook off will be announced followed by a live auction before musicians take the stage at 8 p.m.
Live auction items include Howdy Gutters seamless gutter voucher, Rancho Kauyumari hunt, Processed Van Quack Grass fed Mini-Hereford and more.
The event will end with live music by Shea Abshire and the Nighthowlers with opening band, Dexter and the Moonrocks.
