Registration is underway for the annual Ben Hogan Legacy Golf Tournament, set for Friday, June 6 at PAR Country Club.

The event, hosted by the Ben Hogan Museum of Dublin, offers a double format. A 4-person scramble will tee off at 8 a.m., followed by lunch, and then the Best Ball will tee off at 1:30 p.m. Cost is $125 per golfer per event or $200 for both. Entries are limited to 18 teams per format.

The fee includes a nice gift, green fees, cart and lunch. Prizes will be awarded to the top four winners in each format.

For more information, contact chairman Charlie Finegan at 254-918-3386 or email cfinegan@ft. newyorklife.com.

The entry form is also available on the website at BenHoganMuseum. org. Deadline for entries is May 21.

The museum will also host an informal party for players and sponsors the evening of June 5 at 6 p.m. at The Station, 815 N. Patrick in Dublin.

A light meal will be served and the patrons will be entertained by some quality speakers who will share stories about Ben Hogan.

Proceeds benefit the Ben Hogan Museum in downtown Dublin, owned by the Dublin Historical Society. The museum pays tribute to Mr. Hogan, who is one of only six golfers in history to win the career Grand Slam: the US Open, the Masters, the British Open and the PGA. Three of Mr. Hogan’s Grand Slam wins came in 1953, three years after his head-on collision with a commercial bus in which he sustained life-threatening injuries. Many consider his return to golf after the wreck to be the greatest comeback in professional sports.

Dublin was Mr. Hogan’s childhood home and where he played his last amateur event at the age of 17 before turning professional.

“The Ben Hogan Museum and this tournament honor the legacy of Ben Hogan, both as a golfer and more importantly, as a person,” said tournament director Charlie Finegan.
