Dublin ISD announced their top graduates as the school prepared to graduate 66 seniors in commencement exercises last Friday at Tarleton State University’s Memorial Stadium.
Cole Moore is the Valedictorian of the Dublin High School Class of 2021. Moore is the son of Jill and Sammy Moore. Following graduation, he plans to attend college and major in Biomedical science and then be accepted to medical school.
Maeleigh Geisel was named Salutatorian for the DHS Class of 2021. She is the daughter of Kimberly and Arjen Geijsel. Following graduation, she plans to attend Tarleton State University and graduate with a degree in Animal Production. She plans to use her degree to get a job for a dairy technology company.
Both grads delivered their speeches in front of a stadium filled with family and friends of the senior class as the school’s big screen broadcast the proceedings beside the field. Dublin High school announced many other distinctions in the academic awards ceremony at the school gym Thursday where the top graduates were named. (See page B1 for other students honored in the Thursday event.)
Also in the top 10 percent of the graduating class were Hollyn Carr, Mackenzie Mathis, Jasmine Munoz, Caitlin Silva and Jimena Vazquez.
