FW man arrested in Erath burglaries

Erath County Sheriff’s Office deputies reported the arrest of Joshua Lee Allen of Fort Worth in connection with two local burglaries.

On July 30, deputies received a burglary call in the 2300 block of N US 281 at a Texas A &M facility.

Investigators processed the crime scene that included eight buildings, six vehicles, and hundreds of pieces of evidence.

While the first scene was being processed, a second burglary was called in from the Morgan Mill Post office where several items were taken.

After processing both crime scenes, Investigators were able to identify Allen as a suspect.

A vehicle was stolen from the Texas A&M facility at the time of the burglary.

With the help of Ford Pass, Investigators were able to track the vehicle to a location in Fort Worth.

Officers were able to stop the vehicle and arrest Allen. Inside the vehicle were several items from both the Texas A&M and the Post Office burglaries.

This investigation is ongoing and charges for all of the Erath County crimes are pending.
