Fishing Report

Body

FAIR. Water stained; 50 degrees; 0.07 feet above pool. Black bass to 5 pounds are poor on jigs around bait balls in open water scoping and squarebill crankbaits in 2-4 feet. Crappie are slow on jigs and minnows in brush piles 15-20 feet. White bass are slow to 2 pounds on minnow style baits and Alabama rigs scattered around the lake. Catfish are slow on cut bait and livers.

GRANBURY

GOOD. Water stained; 53 degrees; 0.07 feet below pool. Lake Granbury is at full pool and the water temperature is in the 50s and rising quickly with the warm weather. The white bass spawning run is ongoing and many are catching these fish on the upper ends on spinners, rattletraps and small jigs. Some of the sand bass are still staged in the deeper water on the main lake. Striped bass to 13 pounds are being caught near Striper Alley and on the upper ends near Stockton Bend using swim and jerk bait on heavy jigs. Largemouth bass continue to be good in numbers on soft plastics especially on those warmer days.

POSSUM KINGDOM FAIR. Water stained; 47 degrees; 0.16 feet below pool. Fishing patterns remain similar while the water temperature remains a consistent 45-50 degrees. Striper are fair in 20-40 feet of water with live bait, or deadsticking with jig heads and fluke tails. If deadsticking, stay still and let the fish come to you. Hold your rod still and set the hook at the slightest hint of a bite. The fish are constantly moving and you should be moving too unless deadsticking. Sand bass are fair in 20-30 feet of water with live shad or small slabs and jigs. White and silver are good colors, but white seems to be preferred. Catfish are fair to good up the river near Rock Creek Camp. Cut shad is producing good numbers of fish in 5-20 feet of water fished on or near the bottom. Some people like to use cut carp and Buffalo and have good luck with that.

PROCTOR

FAIR. Water stained; 45 degrees; 0.14 feet above pool. Catfish are good on cut bait. Hybrid bass are good on swimbaits.

WEATHERFORD
