BROWNWOOD

SLOW. Water clear; 52 degrees; 2.77 low. Largemouth bass are slow with crankbaits, jerk baits, and jigs near brush piles, rocky shorelines, and fallen timber. Crappie are slow on minnows in brush piles and timber edges near a creek channel or drop off. White bass and hybrids are slow on slabs and trolling swimbaits. Catfish are slow on punch bait and cut bait in 15-25’ near baited areas.

GRANBURY

FAIR. Water clear; 51 degrees; 0.04 low. Largemouth bass are fair on drop shots, crankbaits, suspended jerk baits, skirted jigs in 14-22’ near creek bends, rocky areas, and rock ledges. Crappie fishing is fair around brush piles and boat docks with minnows. Catfishing is fair with cut bait. Stripers are fair with live bait and striper jigs along the main lake channel in 20-35”.

POSSUM KINGDOM

FAIR. Water clear; 52 degrees; 0.37’ low. Largemouth bass are fair, staying close to sandy banks and working out from islands, and finding submerged vegetation, not below 18 feet. The best lures are large weighted worms and crankbait. Crappie are fair on jigs under docks working upriver and heavily vegetated areas. White elects bass are fair on Alabama rigs off points and drops. Striped bass are fair, finding the ledge and moving when bites stop. Catfish are good on cut bait, live sunfish, and stinkbait.

Largemouth bass are slow on crankbaits, wacky works, suspended jerk baits, blue/white spinners, and green/brown skirted jigs in brush, timer, and rocky shorelines in 14-28’. Hybrid stripers are fair with live bait in the main lake around 23-35’. Crappie are slow with minnows in 14-28’ in standing timber and brush piles. Catfish are fair on cut bait.

FAIR. Water clear; 48 degrees; 1.54 low. Largemouth bass are fair on football jigs, chrome crankbaits and bladed spinners near rocky shorelines and points, fallen timber and brush. White bass are slow in 20-35’ with slabs and heavy spoons. Crappie are fair on minnows around docks, marinas, and submerged cover. Catfish are fair on cut bait and punch bait.

WHITNEY

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 50 degrees; 2.26 low. Black bass are fair on creek ledges, main lake ridges and drop-offs on suspended jerk baits, diving crankbaits, black or purple drop shots, and black/red skirted jigs. White bass are slow on the main lake channel with jigging spoons and slabs. Stripers are fair with live shad and swim baits along the main lake river channel edges in 20-35’. Crappie are good with minnows and lightweight jigs in 14-25’ timber near creek channels and brush piles. Catfish are good on earthworms, chicken liver, and cut bait.
