BROWNWOOD
Water lightly stained; 75 degrees; 0.67 feet low. The water is beginning to cool down, and we should see fall fishing patterns coming soon. Largemouth bass are good with perch like crankbaits, brown or green Texas-rigged plastic worms, chartreuse bladed spinners, and shaky head jigs near timber, rocky shorelines, and docks. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs in brush piles and near bridge pilings. White bass and hybrids are good on slabs, swimbaits, and live bait along the main lake channels, humps, and ridges. Look for birds diving over feeding schools of white bass. Catfish are good on shrimp, chicken liver, and live bait.
GRANBURY
Water lightly stained; 69 degrees; 0.00 level. Granbury water temperatures have been see-sawing a bit due to the weather but are on a trend down. Temperatures are in the low to mid 70’s and continue to fall. Black bass fishing with topwater baits is good early. Soft plastics are hard to beat near stickups near creek channel ledges and main lake points. White bass are improving on slabs in 10-15 feet of water. Striped bass are good to 10-pounds on live bait in 10-20 feet of water on the lower ends near Blue Water Shores. Crappie reports are good to excellent on the upper ends near standing timber. Catfish are good to excellent on cut shad and hot dogs on many areas of the lake.

Water lightly stained; 75 degrees; 0.47 feet low. We are still waiting for the water temperature to decline for the fishing to improve. Striper fishing are good, and the bite should continue for a while. Crappie are good on minnows in structure. Catfishing is slow but should pick up as the water cools.
PROCTOR
Water clear; 70 degrees; 1.02 feet low. White bass and hybrid stripers are slow on slabs. Black bass are slow. Crappie are fair at Copperas Creek and the dam. Catfish are slow drifting in 15-20 feet of water.
WEATHERFORD
Water lightly stained; 77 degrees; 2.20 feet low. Largemouth bass are fair on swimbaits, flukes, drop shots, shaky head jigs, and diving crankbaits near fallen timber and rocky shorelines. White bass are good on slabs, swimbaits, and live bait. Crappie are fair on minnows around docks, creeks, and submerged cover. Catfish are good on chicken liver, live, and cut bait.
