Body

GOOD. Water slightly stained; 74 degrees; 0.46 feet above pool. Black bass to 7.76 lbs are Slow in 3-15 feet of water with fish moving off shore on a drop shot Hag’s Tornados in green pumpkin, outlier frog and Spinner baits. Some bass are guarding Fry and most are post spawn and a few are into an early summer pattern. Crappie are slow to 12 inches on jigs in 2-10 feet. White bass are excellent to 2 pounds on crankbaits out of the lights at night. Catfish are slow on prepared bait, nightcrawlers and chicken livers.

GRANBURY

GOOD. Water stained; 70 degrees; 0.46 feet below pool. Granbury water temperature is around 70 degrees and is stained mostly on the upper ends. Lower end is not as stained. Sand bass are excellent on slabs on many areas of the lake. Sand bass are on humps and ridges in 12-20 feet of water and they are everywhere. Striped bass are fair to good on the lower ends on live shad and trolled umbrella rigs. Blue catfish are good to 20 pounds on cut bait fished on the upper ends near channel breaks. Crappie are still being caught in the back of the creeks on small jigs and minnows fished under a cork. Largemouth bass are also good in the backs of the creeks and near creek entrances on lipless crank baits and soft plastics. Report by Michael Acosta, Unfair Advantage Charters. Lots of debris on Granbury. Catfish are moving around but are biting readily once you find them. Best bite has been on the south end between 25-50 feet of water on small pieces of cut shad or prepared baits.

POSSUM KINGDOM FAIR. Water stained; 72 degrees; 0.84 feet below pool. Expect a slow striped bass bite until the water settles. Sand bass are slow to fair when you can find clear water. Use live shad or small white, silver or chrome slabs in 15-25 feet of water. Catfish are good fishing cut shad off the bottom in 2-10 feet of water. Baited holes are your best bet to catch numbers on punch bait. Bait with cattle cubes and wait 2-3 hours before fishing. The water temperature is steady at 70-74 degrees, and will continue to rise with warmer weather. Water clarity has dropped tremendously to 1 foot of visibility, and almost zero on the north end of the lake. Mud line has made it over all the way down the lake to the dam.

PROCTOR

FAIR. Water stained; 70 degrees; 1.56 feet below pool. The lake is up after the recent rains. Reports of hybrid catches with topwater lures. Crappie can be caught in shallow water on jigs and minnows. Reports of white bass caught trolling in shallow water.

WEATHERFORD

FAIR. Water stained; 68 degrees; 4.13 feet below pool. Crappie are fair in 10-20 feet of water on brush piles with minnows and jigs. Bass are fair on soft plastics in deeper water. Catfish are slow. Water clarity is 8 inches. Bass and
