BROWNWOOD

SLOW. Water slightly stained; 55 degrees; 0.09 feet below pool. Black bass to 9.23 pounds are fair off the rocks on Hag’s all around jigs in juice box around steep banks and squarebill crankbaits in 2-14 feet of water. Fish are transitioning to the spawning pockets. Crappie are fair to 1 pound on jigs and minnows off points in brush piles 15-20 feet of water. Fish are starting to move shallow. White bass are good to 1.5 pounds on crankbaits up the bayou. Catfish are fair on juglines with cut bait and nightcrawlers.

GRANBURY

GOOD. Water stained; 55 degrees; 0.16 feet below pool. Lake Granbury water temperatures have been seesawing from the low to upper 50s. Water levels are normal and relatively clear. Sand bass fishing on the upper ends continues to be good, however many of the sand bass are holding in deep water and can be caught on the main lake in 20-35 feet of water on small jigs. Many of these sand bass have not spawned yet. Striped bass are fair to good to 10 pounds on jerkbaits on heavy jig heads from Sandy Point to the Shores. Striped bass are holding near channel ledges where bait fish are holding. Largemouth bass are best on those warmer days when they are more active. Best reports come from near creek entrances and deeper docks. Soft plastics and slow rolling crankbaits are putting those largemouth bass in the boat.

POSSUM KINGDOM FAIR. Water stained; 57 degrees; 0.32 feet below pool. Stripers are slow to fair and should start to pick up. Live bait is still putting fish in the boat each trip, but the fish are still super scattered in 30-50 feet of water.sand bass are fair to good in creeks, but slowing down in the main lake. Fish should be up in the creeks getting ready to spawn. Use live shad or small jigs and rattle traps when in the creeks. Catfish are still fair to good with cut shad in 2-5 feet of water or 20-30 feet of water fished on the bottom. Water clarity is steady at 1-8 feet of visibility and slightly stained.

PROCTOR

FAIR. Water stained; 50 degrees; 0.18 feet above pool. Target catfish on windblown points and banks with fresh cut bait.

WEATHERFORD

FAIR. Water slightly stained; 55 degrees; 4.89 feet below pool. Crappie are fair moving out of the crappie house to the shallows to spawning beds. Crappie are being caught with eggs, and fish are starting to move shallow staging for the spawn. Bass and catfish are slow deep and around rocks. Water visibility is 7-8 inches.

WHITNEY

GOOD. Water normal stain; 56 degrees; 0.21 feet above pool. Striped bass bite is now good with live bait in 30 feet of water. Catfish are good using cut bait in shallow water. Crappie are beginning to move up the rivers in shallow water in preparation
