Federal search warrant served, one detained

Dublin Police Department aided several agencies Friday, Oct. 9 on serving a federal warrant stemming from an investigation into the violation of federal firearms laws.

According to information released by Dublin PD, the department aided the Texas Department of Public Safety- Criminal Investigations Division, the Texas Department of Public Safety Special Response Team, the FBI and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to serve the federal search warrant issued by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.

The warrant was executed in the 300 block of Vine Street in Dublin and Sergio Rodriguez was taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

No one was injured during the warrant being served and there were no shots fired. Distractionary devices (flash bangs) were utilized.
