With the stress that local volunteer fire departments have endured recently, the Stephenville Evening Lions Club is proud to help. The Stephenville Evening Lions Club has made a $2,000 donation to each of the eight different volunteer fire departments of Erath County.

This $18,000 in total donations, help these volunteer fire departments replenish supplies and repair equipment from fighting fires.

One of the main ways that the Stephenville Evening Lions Club raises funds is through their annual Upland Bird Extravaganza. The community is invited to the upcoming Upland Bird Extravaganza, with the Shooting Events on April 23rd at Rough Creek Lodge.

The public can also help by purchasing raffle tickets. The four grand prizes are a New Kubota RTV, an AR-15, a Beretta Shotgun and a 100-quart Blue Cooler. Raffle tickets are $100 each and can be purchased from any Evening Lions Club member. The prizes will be given away at the dinner and auction on April 29th at City Hall at City limits. A few tables are still available for purchase to the event.
