The Dublin Economic Development board met in regular session Tuesday to approve a community improvement grant and commercial business grants.

The Board approved $2,100 for highway signage for three non-profit entities: The Dublin Historical

Museum, the Dublin Rodeo Museum, and the Ben Hogan Museum. The yearly cost is $700 for each of the museums.

A Community Improvement Grant was approved for Derrick Simon at 534 E Blackjack for the amount of $1,641.04. The grant helped with the removal of a dilapidated shed at that address.

The Board then approved a Commercial Building Improvement Grant (Business Owner) for Olivia Garcia of Lucky Nutrition at 112 W Blackjack for the amount of $1,213,84. The improvements

included paint and signage.

Amy Wright, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce, presented an ambitious vision for the St. Patrick’s festivities for 2022. The Board unanimously approved an event grant for $2,500 for the St. Patrick’s weekend events.

In the Executive Director’s report, Mr. Stanford reported that that sales tax received for the month of

October was lower than the same month last year. This was an anomaly as the recent trend had shown increases for the prior months.
