Erath County Sheriff’s Office arrested two following a chase Saturday.
According to a press release from ECSO, a deputy was requested to check on the status of a driver at Allsups located at the intersection of US Hwy 281 and Washington St on the morning of Saturday, May 8.
It was reported that the driver appeared to be asleep in a motor vehicle. The deputy responded and was able to identify both a male and female in the vehicle.
While the deputy was conducting the investigation, the driver fled the scene in a motor vehicle and a pursuit ensued.
The pursuit continued Northbound on US Hwy 281 and subsequently left Erath County going into neighboring Palo Pinto County before ending in Hood County. Erath County Deputies were assisted in the pursuit by Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers, Hood County Deputies and Granbury Police Department officers.
Officers from the Granbury Police Department were able to successfully deploy spike strips on the motor vehicle. After a short foot pursuit, the male driver identified as Tony Aldape from Comanche Texas and the female passenger identified as Megan Wilcoxen from Ranger were both taken into custody and booked into the Erath County jail.
Aldape was charged with Evading arrest and detention with a motor vehicle along with a Pardons and Parole warrant and Possession of Marijuana Warrant from Breckenridge PD. Wilcoxen was charged with Possession of Marijuana Warrant from Breckenridge PD. Both Aldape and
